The rooms

A place that encompasses the history and culture of our lands, a refuge from the frenetic life of the city.

Quiet refuges in the heart of the village

Each room at Rifugio dei Briganti is designed as a small refuge where time slows and the atmosphere of the village permeates the home. Antique furnishings, natural fabrics, and objects that evoke the memories of these lands create warm and welcoming spaces, where tradition and comfort coexist in perfect harmony.

The light streaming through the windows illuminates the details of the residence and offers glimpses of the narrow streets of the historic center and the mountains of the Comino Valley, transforming every stay into an authentic experience. Here, the rooms are not simply places to sleep, but spaces to slowly experience, immersed in the history, tranquility, and beauty of the village of San Donato Val di Comino.

Brigand Alonzi's Room

Dedicated to Luigi Alonzi, known as Chiavone, one of the most notorious bandits in the mountains between Lazio and Abruzzo, this room is a welcoming refuge where history, atmosphere, and comfort meet.

The Brigante Chiavone Room combines the charm of a period residence with contemporary details. Antique furnishings, natural fabrics, and carefully selected objects evoke the authentic character of the house and its surrounding land.

The double bed with its carved wooden headboard dominates the room, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Natural light streams in from the windows overlooking the medieval village's alleys and the mountains of the Comino Valley, offering picturesque views at any time of day.

Spacious and bright, the room is designed for couples and travelers seeking an intimate and authentic stay in the heart of San Donato Val di Comino, surrounded by the silence of the mountains, history, and nature.

Brigandess Cedrone's Room

The Cedrone Brigand's Room is a haven of tranquility and style. Featuring stone walls and rustic details that evoke the history of banditry, this room is perfect for lovers of nature and tradition.

Equipped with a single bed and elegant wooden furnishings, the room offers breathtaking views of the surrounding greenery, inviting complete relaxation. Guests can enjoy furnishings reminiscent of antique doilies hand-woven by grandmothers, antique lock keys, and embroidery reminiscent of banditry.

The entrance door, dating back to 1930, is an original piece handcrafted by a local artisan from San Donato, embodying the charm and history of the village. While the room doesn't have air conditioning, it's designed to ensure maximum comfort even in the hottest or coldest months. For this reason, we provide blankets, quilts, and soft sheets to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in any season. The wooden double bed, along with the rustic and carefully curated furnishings, creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for those seeking a stay steeped in tradition and family warmth.

Between ancient stone and mountain light, time finds its rhythm again.

The Brigands' Refuge is not just a place to sleep.
It's a house to live in, in the heart of one of Lazio's most charming villages.
